March Sadness photobook
Hello friends,
Well, the Cowboy Sadness Pony Ride ‘25 is through. We had a great time worming our way from Tubby’s down to Knoxville for two packed performances at Big Ears, and then through the mountains for a pair of wild shows in beloved Asheville, NC. I’m a bit worn and have less to say than usual, but the polaroid rode along so I’ll let that take it from here.
Before I go, for those in NYC I’ll be playing pump organ alongside my friend Zoh Amba and Eliana Glass this Saturday at The Stone. This will be a performance inspired by the living spirit of Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou, an Ethiopian nun and my favorite pianist. We’ll likely expand out from there. As it goes at The Stone, the show starts at 8:30pm and entry is $20 cash at the door.
Also, there’s something I’m quite excited about that I’m hoping to send you all next week, so keep the eyes out and ears up.
With love,
David
